ODDA announces recruitment for new CEO
The Online Dating and Discovery Association are announcing we are looking for a new CEO to take the helm of the Association at an exciting time in the online dating and social discovery sector.
Our current CEO, Dr Hannah Shimko, has built a well-recognised brand, a strong membership, and influence among our diverse stakeholders, supported the industry through a number of pieces of legislation and new regulation, developed a growing Associate programme, and represented the sector’s opportunities and challenges with the media, law enforcement, policymakers, academics and wider stakeholders. We wish her well in her new chapter.
Hannah said
‘ I have sincerely enjoyed my time with the ODDA. From growing ODDA’s brand recognition with stakeholders and widening our remit from dating to include social discovery, to taking the sector through significant legislation such as the Online Safety Act, Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act, to working closely with law enforcement, academics and experts on issues like mitigating romance fraud and harm on platforms, as well as AI, it has been a fulfilling whirlwind. I appreciate all the time spent with our Members, Associates and wider sector and will miss working with everyone. It is an exciting time for a new candidate to take the role forward and continue to build on ODDA’s success.
