ODDA Appoints Lauren Sharp as our First Researcher in Residence

The ODDA is delighted to announce the appointment of Lauren Sharp as our first Researcher in Residence.

The role supports a collaborative approach in addressing key challenges and opportunities in our sector. Lauren will be responsible for driving research that brings academic critique into dialogue with industry practice, emerging trends and consumer insight in order to develop evidence-based findings that can inform understanding and improvements across the sector.

Lauren is an experienced designer who is currently completing a Masters in Design, with a specialist focus on dating platforms and user experience.

The ODDAs Simon Newman said:

“Evidenced-based research is becoming increasingly important to our sector, particularly in the context of user-centred design and safety. But it can also help us understand the impact our sector has on society, which is an area the ODDA has been interested in for some time. Lauren will play a crucial role in leading and coordinating our research capability and joins at an exciting time for the Association as we launch our 2030 Strategy.”
