ODDA Receives Response to Concerns Over New Subscription Contract Regime
Last month, ODDA joined several other trade bodies and business associations in writing to Ministers to express disappointment at the Government’s decision to press ahead with the new subscription contracts regime despite valid concerns from the sector. Our letter set out two specific asks: that businesses are properly consulted in the development of supporting guidance before it is laid before Parliament, and that the implementation period should be a minimum of 12 months from the date guidance is published.
We have since received a response, and the Government remains unconvinced by the arguments we and others have put forward. We are reconvening as a group to discuss next steps, and Simon will also be raising this with Lord Lansley when they meet next week.
