ODDA Research Hub Founding Event – A Landmark Day for the Sector
On 24 June 2026, the ODDA Research Hub held its Founding Event at King’s College London, marking a significant milestone in the association’s mission to build an evidence-led, research-driven future for the online dating and social discovery sector.
Despite an unseasonable heatwave, attendees, speakers, and regulators gathered together – a testament to the genuine appetite for collaboration and connection that exists across our community.
A Day of Ideas, Insight, and Discussion
The event brought together a diverse group of researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers, with presentations spanning a broad range of topics relevant to the sector’s most pressing challenges and opportunities. Each session prompted active discussion, both in facilitated roundtables and via an online Padlet platform, and was exactly the kind of cross-sector dialogue the Research Hub was built to facilitate.
What Comes Next
The day has given the ODDA Research Hub a wealth of content, ideas, and themes to build on. The focus now turns to defining the Hub’s scope and identifying key research projects to take forward, with the active involvement of those who attended.
A follow-up debrief session will be held for attendees who wish to stay involved in shaping the Hub’s direction. Details will be shared directly with participants in due course.
