ODDA joins joint letter to the European Commission on Apple’s App Store terms

Today ODDA joined 17 other organisations in writing to the European Commission. Apple’s new App Store terms fail to resolve its non-compliance with the Digital Markets Act. The DMA requires steering to be free of charge, and a 15% fee is not zero. By accepting this outcome, the Commission risks turning enforcement into compromise and rewriting the law.

For online dating and discovery providers, that uncertainty makes it harder to plan, invest, and compete on fair terms. We ask the Commission to consult the affected parties, provide full transparency, and bring the relevant proceedings to a formal, reasoned conclusion.
